BAHFA September 2026 Webinar for Elected Officials

The Bay Area Housing Finance Authority (BAHFA) is seeking input from Bay Area elected officials to shape future legislation and a potential ballot measure to raise billions of dollars for the housing production, preservation and tenant protections (the 3Ps). As part of this initiative, BAHFA staff hosted a webinar for elected officials on Sept. 30.

BAHFA is the region’s housing finance agency, created by state statute in 2019 to raise revenue for large-scale solutions across the 3Ps. BAHFA is a unique regional authority that can unlock billions in funding for affordable housing and homelessness prevention and bring funds back into the Bay Area’s communities.

This webinar, along with a survey, presentations, one-on-one conversations and other touchpoints, will influence potential amendments to BAHFA’s enabling statute and a potential future regional housing revenue measure, perhaps as soon as 2028.
